The "Sutton Hoo" buckle is a creative interpretation of its own that follows the Germanic design of the Anglo-Saxon culture.
The magnificent buckle combines motifs from the belt plate of the original belt buckle with the two raven fittings from the Sutton Hoo bag in a successful symbiosis.
Germanic buckles like the belt buckle of Sutton Hoo were often made of silver, frequently also gilded and sometimes even made of pure gold.
Our Interpretation, on the other hand, is made of zinc casting and available in brass or silver colour.
