This attractive Renaissance buckle from the time of the so-called Houppelande is suitable for a generous belt width of 5.5 cm.This magnificent belt buckle is inspired by a historical model from the early Renaissance and is based on a buckle depicted in the painting "Portrait of a Lady" by the Flemish painter Rogier van der Weyden, which is now in the Gallery of Art in Washington.
The buckle features fine palmettes designs typical of early Renaissance fashion.
The Houppelande belt buckle fits perfectly on wide Renaissance belts.

The belt buckle is available in brass or silver colour, made of cast zamak.
There are four 5 mm pins on the back of the Houppelande buckle, onto which you simply place the small caps supplied and then fasten the buckle with a few light taps with a hammer.
