Bag fitting set for closing a Viking pouch.
This Viking pouch closure set for a typical Viking bag was made according to historical models and includes strap pull-through, strap end and pouch fitting.The historical model for the Viking pouch closure comes from the Swedish village of Ås, which was about half the size of our replica. The strap end is modelled on a historical find in Borre style.
Diamond-shaped pouch fittings of the Viking Age are also known from Birka and Russia, for example, and go back to Magyar models.
To close the Viking bag, the strap outlet is attached to the body of the Viking bag and the pouch fitting to the bag lid. The strap end comes to the pulled through leather straps, which makes it easier to close the bag.
