This striking amulet with the expressive depiction of a Viking raven was made after a historical model from the Viking Age, which served as a clasp for leg wraps.The historical original, which served as a model for the pendant, comes from Jaroslav / Russia and dates back to the 10th century. A very similar raven was also found on Gotland.

The raven has been a recurring element in human myths and legends since time immemorial. It was also sacred to the North Germanic tribes.
