Productdetails...

Viking neck ring with dragon heads from Gotland.

Here you can buy a remarkable Viking neck ring with dragon heads that was made from several twisted wires.

This Viking neck ring was modelled on a historical bangle from the Swedish island of Gotland, which was decorated with these dragon heads.

Link to the historical model...

The Viking nek ring is suitable for a neck circumference of 43 to 47 cm and is therefore suitable for people of normal to strong stature.

With a thickness of approx. 11 mm and a weight of approx. 250 g, this Viking choker is an impressive representative among the chokers of the Viking Age and a real eye-catcher.

You can buy that Viking torque in high-quality bronze or real silver-plated.
Alternatively, also available in 925 sterling silver (Please note the delivery time).
Alloy...

Typical of Viking neck rings are several wires twisted together, which ensure excellent flexibility so that the necklace can be easily bent open and closed and put on.

The torques are widely known as the epitome of Celtic warrior jewellery, but what is less well known is that the Viking necklace was also worn by almost all Central European peoples: Almost all Central European peoples of antiquity knew chokers as jewellery.

Until the Migration Period, necklaces were worn not only by men but also by women among the Germanic tribes. In the course of Late Antiquity, the choker then became a purely male form of jewellery and remained widespread in Northern Europe until the time of the Vikings.

Viking necklaces were usually made of narrow silver or bronze wires in twisted or braided form and could be fitted with a hook fastener or elaborately designed end heads.
