Dragonesque brooch in the shape of a seahorse.

The dragonesque brooch was very common in Celtic culture after the conquest of England in the 1st century AD among the British.

This detailed replica of a Dragonesque brooch, believed to represent a seahorse, is a Romano-British variety of brooch that became widespread in the insular crafts of Britain in the first century as a result of the Roman conquest of England.

The Dragonesque brooch combines basic Celtic elements with Roman influences. Brooches of this type were widespread in the English region and were used to close robes and cloaks.

In ancient times, seahorses were believed to pull the chariots of sea deities and were therefore associated with the gods Neptune and Poseidon.

Dimensions of the Dragonesque brooch: 5.5 x 5 cm.

The brooch is made of high-quality bronze and is also available in genuine silver-plated.
